When did you get your first BW

In 2005 I was at Compton shopping with my wife for a bow for her. She shot everything there and she loved the BW PSA. As she shot I decided to try one for myself.  I had never even tried one.  Like my wife I was immediately hooked. I waited 2 weeks to bring it up but I mentioned to my wife I really liked the BW. She said I should order one. I did the next day.

I ordered a PSA Autumn Oak with stained boo limbs.  I’ve taken deer, bear, caribou and wild boar. I still hunt with it and it still looks great.

Like you I’ve tried a few others.  Ha.

I tried longbows but it never clicked.

I picked up this older one piece H325. It’s fun to shoot I think it looks cool also.

Had a PA (simular ) shot nice liked the PRF balance and weight better

for some reason I just like a ASL

maybe cause started with one as a kid

just more fun for me to shot  -shot my PLx stumping with the dog this morning -just like the ASL the best for me

My first BW was in 1987, a GB one piece, I had a CJ that I sold due to an injury and couldn’t shoot it. I hated to see it go and it left on an eleven year trip around the country through various owners. Last year I saw it for sale and bought it back. I’m shooting it again now and it won’t be leaving again.                           PA’s are my favorite and I’ve owned a few that I should have kept, there might be another in the future.

It’s always neat to find a bow like that.  I had an Adcock bow do that but since I’m not a good LB shooter I let’s it continue on its path.

2002 used MAIII. After that, a PSRV, 3 PLV. Presently, I have a PCH III, and my main bow, a PLV with white instead of red glass

This MA III was new in 91   One of the best decisions I ever made.  Its still going strong.

My first was on February 20, 2003.  I had ordered it in 2002 and frankly forgotten about it. The delivery truck pulled up to my house mid-morning on my birthday.

I was a PSA Autumn Oak.

Well I am way late to this party but I’m glad to finally be here!  I’ve looked at Black Widow bows since the early 90’s when I first started shooting a recurve and picked up a copy of traditional bowhunter magazine.  I finally pulled the trigger on a used 1996 SAIII.  Perfect draw weight and length for what I was looking for.  I received it, looked at it for 48 hours and boxed it up and sent it back to Black Widow for them to refinish it for me.  I’m having that leather grip removed as well.  Can’t wait to tune an arrow set up and hopefully hunt with it this fall!
