what kind of brace height are you guys running
and how many strands of D-97 does BW have n a string
I seem to be best at 7 3/8″ brace and using 14 strands of D-97
bare shafting for a 47# bow @26″ (my draw) wants 2117 or 400’s cut 27 1/2″ BOP with 175 grain points
spine calculator says 1916 but they way way weak
My brace varies by bow and shafting .
Im pulling 50 @ 29″ on most of mine and they like a 2016 ,30.5″ with 125 head or a 2018 @ 29.5 with 200 [ plus insert ]
my 40# 66″er that i just got for target and 3d likes a 1916 , full length with125
the 1916 and 2018 both run at about 12 gpp out of the respective bows
2117 sound way over spined for me – but i always end up lighter spine than most people
Thanks Been
don’t know why a more correct spine flys off to the right (right shower) but the 2117 bare shafts straight
I keep playng with this cause I know so stiff for 49#
175 grain point shouldn’t make that much difference with so short of an arrow (27 1/2″ BOP)
2016 shoot great out of my NM ASL;s at the same poundage
thanks again
will keep fiddling with it
finally got 2016 to tune using the alum bloom method- got nice even petals all the way around so know hitting at a perfect 90º
gonna feather them up now
painful but cool eh !
sure is
they flew great with feathers
still cant figure why weak with bare shaft and 2117 straight even though they gotta be way stiff even with 175 gtain points
keeps worrying my head, and frustrating
