The hunt will be upon us before we know it. What is everyone going to shoot this year. I’ll be using my Black Widow PLX, 44lbs at my draw length of 28″. Arrows are Gold Tip Velocity, 500 spine, length 30.5″, 3×4″ feathers, reflective wrap, 205 grain Simmons Safari Broadhead. Arrow weight 448 gr (gpp 10.2), foc 20.2%.
Had a great hunt. Shot a couple of pigs, ate some good Texas Chili and jambalaya. Shared the campfire with good friends I only get to see once a year. Already laid the groundwork for next year’s hunt.
Doesn’t anyone want to talk about this hunt? I’m really looking forward to this hunt and seeing some of the guys I’ve met previously at Squapan as well as some new guys. Last year, my cancer treatment knocked me out of the hunt at the last minute (actually 2 days before I was scheduled to hit the road for Maine). I’m still undergoing treatment but and don’t see an end to it anytime soon, but I’m doing my best to make this hunt.
Surely there are more people on this site that are going to make this hunt. Tony and Lynn are great hosts, and you will share a campfire with some of the finest stickbenders you’ll ever meet.
